Nikke Sillanpää (born 1997) is a Finnish photographer and filmmaker who is finishing his bachelor’s degree in journalism at Tampere University.
As a photographer, he is fascinated about every day and ordinary life, events, architectural designs, art and fashion. He is currently working on a documentary project about Finnish rave culture together with RARE Media. The project is supported by Patricia Seppälä Foundation.
Sillanpää’s bachelor’s thesis focuses on the rise of street gang related problems in Finland and how young people are portrayed in the Finnish media’s video coverage of the street gang subject.
Nikke Sillanpää is working as a freelance journalist, photographer and filmmaker and does commercial work for local organizations.
